We were established in 2007 by a small group of public school teachers led by Troy Pressens. Troy, our CEO, had a great idea - to use the Internet to connect certified teachers with students for after school tutoring. So we started with a small group of teachers and connected them with students using our web site. Over time, we've grown tremendously, and we now have hundreds of teachers conducting tutoring services all over New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Additionally, we've welcomed Jaime LaForgia, an independent educational consultant and former teacher, who will help promote and manage the essential partnerships between families and teachers.

Who we are and what we do

The Tutoring Annex, LLC connects certified teachers with pre-k, elementary, middle, high school, and college level students who need extra help. All of our tutoring services are conducted in home or on campus.

Helping students with any subject

With such a diverse number of teachers, our company is able to offer tutoring in a wide range of subjects. Many of our teachers hold Master and Ph.D level degrees in the subject areas in which they tutor.

Endorsements and Partnerships

The Tutoring Annex, LLC has actively partnered with the YMCA and other community centers. We have been endorsed by multiple teacher unions and work in partnership with many school districts. Our company has been featured in the Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal as well as Lehigh Valley Style Magazine. The Tutoring Annex, LLC is registered with the Better Business Bureau.
