Find a certified teacher for after school or home school tutoring with the "Find Your Tutor" search tool. All of our staff are certified school teachers or college professors. You can view and compare teacher fees, subjects, locations, dates/times available and biographies on-line.
The Tutoring Annex empowers the parent or student to find a teacher who is a good match for their particular needs. We can also assist students and parents in selecting a teacher upon request. Please feel free to view our brief tutorial video for an overview of how our web site works.
If you find a teacher but the teacher's calendar is blank, please email us at tutoringannex@gmail.com, or call our toll free number: (877)-831-0149. We will contact the teacher for you to find out his/her availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a tutoring session cost?All of our teachers choose their own hourly rates. You will need to look at teacher profiles via the "Find Your Tutor" search tool. Many teachers do charge different rates for different subjects.
Do I have so sign a contract?The Tutoring Annex, LLC does not require a contract to retain our services. Clients are free to use our services when needed.
There are no available dates on the teacher's calendar.If you find a teacher that you would like as a tutor but their calendar is blank please give us a call. We will contact the teacher for you to find out their availability.
Are you insured?Our company carries a general liability policy.
Do you do background checks?The Tutoring Annex, LLC requests that all teachers upload their teaching certificate and background checks to their profile where you can view this documentation. We do not conduct background checks. We suggest clients review these documents prior to scheduling an appointment.
How do I schedule an appointment online?We have placed a tutorial video on our home page that will introduce you to our site and tutoring scheduling system. Simply select a teacher, select the days/times available and pay on line. We do suggest that you schedule a week out to allow the teacher enough time to plan for the tutoring session.
What happens after I schedule a teacher?The teacher should contact you within 24 hours to discuss location and any further information needed. You will also receive an email with the teachers phone number.
Can I write a check or pay in cash?The Tutoring Annex, LLC requires all tutoring services to be pre-paid via our on line scheduling system. We use PayPal for our credit card processing. You do not need a PayPal account to process your credit card. Clients who pay teachers outside of our system with out our permission will be prohibited from future use and the teacher will be terminated.
What if I want to cancel?All scheduled tutoring session sales are final. Since the teacher's time is blocked out, we do not issue credit. Rescheduling may be made 24 hours prior to appointment at the discretion of the teacher by calling the teacher directly. Schedule changes may not be made on-line.
